Kanye West Takes Credit For White Theme at Diddy “Freak Off” Party

Kanye West says he started the white theme at Diddy's parties when he showed up in a Yeezy Poncho back in 2014.

Los Angeles, CA — In what began as a routine radio interview quickly spiraled into a surreal Kanye West fever dream, the controversial rapper-producer appeared on Hot 97 this week to address the dismal streaming numbers of his Donda 2 album—only to veer wildly off-topic and take unexpected credit for the fashion theme at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ notorious “Freak Off” parties.

“You know, Donda 2 is ahead of its time,” Kanye insisted, despite the album being legally available only through a defunct $200 stem player and currently charting somewhere below a Gregorian chant compilation on Spotify. “But forget that, man—let’s talk about what really matters. Those all-white outfits at Diddy’s ‘Freak Off’ parties? That was me. I started that. That was my vision.”

Hosts attempted to steer the conversation back to Donda 2’s creative process, but Ye remained committed to discussing his alleged role in the aesthetic of a series of private, not-at-all family-friendly soirées known more for their whispered NDAs than haute couture.

“People think Diddy came up with that ‘everyone wear white’ thing. Nah, man. I showed up in an all-white Yeezy poncho back in 2014, and suddenly everybody looked like spiritual waiters at a sex cult brunch. That was me setting the tone. That’s fashion. That’s legacy.”

When asked how this relates to his current musical slump, Kanye simply nodded knowingly. “It’s all connected. Music, fashion, morally ambiguous billionaire orgies—it’s one long album rollout.”

While Diddy has not officially commented, sources close to the mogul say he was “mildly annoyed” by the claim but also “not surprised, because it’s Kanye.” Meanwhile, fashion critics are still recovering from trying to understand how a man in sock-shoes and a ski mask became the self-declared messiah of VIP dress codes.

As the interview wrapped, Kanye hinted at launching his own exclusive gathering called “The Yevent,” where guests must wear garbage bags dipped in holy water and answer philosophical questions about the Watch the Throne album before entering.

“It’s not about the music anymore,” Kanye added as he left the studio. “It’s about vibes. And those vibes better be dressed in white—because that’s how you ascend.”
